Adhesion to standard steel plates: A tape is applied to a standard steel plate at a controlled rolling rate. The steel plate is mounted vertically or horizontally, and a standard quality weight is hung on the free end of the adhesive tape to
determine the time of bond failure.
Note: The vertical method is used for the determination of trackability within 4h of failure time / The horizontal method is used for the determination of trackability with a failure time greater than 4h.

Under constant load, temperature of (23±1)°C, and relative humidity of (50±5)%, the adhesive tape’s adhesion to standard steel plates is measured by the failure time of the adhesive tape.

It is suitable for adhesive tape, protective film, labels, plaster, and other products for adhesion tests, and the ability of adhesive specimen resistance to pull off is characterized by the displacement of the specimen sticking after a certain period or the time when the specimen is completely detached.
